WWE Royal Rumble: Jey Uso Scores the Upset While Charlotte Flair Repeats

Charlotte Flair became the first two-time winner of the women’s Royal Rumble last night in Indianapolis.

She could also face Rhea Ripley in a WrestleMania trilogy match. Their last bout at WrestleMania 39 was the best women’s match in Mania history.

Roxanne Perez broke Bayley’s longevity record from last year. Perez, who is still on the NXT roster, drew No. 2 and lasted 67 minutes.

Jordynne Grace had told everyone she wouldn’t be in town for the Rumble, but it was a SWERVE~! She showed up at No. 19. Grace has made the jump from TNA to WWE.

Alexa Bliss returned after two years, checking in at No. 21. The fans were elated to see her again.

Trish Stratus and Nikki Bella appeared at No. 25 and No. 30, respectively.

At the end, Nia Jax eliminated several wrestlers, only to be dumped by Perez. Charlotte booted Perez out to win the Rumble.

JEY USO WINS

Jey Uso lived up to his “Main Event” nickname by scoring an upset victory in the men’s Royal Rumble.

He could face Cody Rhodes for the WWE title or try again to defeat Gunther for the World title.

Rey Mysterio and Penta started the Rumble with a Lucha Libre dream match.

Surprise entries included Joe Hendry from TNA and a guy named “iShowSpeed.” Google says he is an “American YouTuber, singer, rapper and online streamer.” Okay, now I feel old.

Braun Strowman gained revenge from Saturday Night’s Main Event by eliminating Jacob Fatu.

CM Punk dumped out Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns, only to get eliminated by Logan Paul.

The final three were Uso, John Cena, and Logan Paul. Cena eliminated Paul with a clothesline.

He seemed to be on his way to WrestleMania to challenge for a record-breaking 17th World title, but Uso flipped the script and scored the upset victory.
