WWE NXT Prepares to Take Center Stage

Wrestling fans used to gather around the television on Saturdays at 6:05 p.m. to watch World Championship Wrestling.

Those shows from the 1980s and ‘90s often took place at the Center Stage Theater in Atlanta.

NXT will honor wrestling history by presenting next week’s show from that location.

Bayley appeared on last night’s NXT show to antagonize Roxanne Perez, who did the same on the most recent episodes of Raw and Smackdown.

Bayley will team up with NXT women’s champion Giulia to face Perez and Cora Jade at Center Stage.

Also next week, Bianca Belair & Naomi will defend the WWE women’s tag team title against The Meta-Girls (Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend).

Grayson Waller will host his talk show, with NXT champion Oba Femi as his guest.

TITLE MATCHES

Tony D’Angelo opened the show by successfully defending the North American title against Ridge Holland. Shawn Spears’ crew came to ringside, and Izzy Dame kicked Holland to help “The Don” win the match.

Lexis King hung onto the Heritage Cup with a win over Charlie Dempsey. With the score tied 1-1 in the fourth round, King hit a low blow and his Coronation finisher for the victory.

Oba Femi retained the NXT championship in the main event with a win over Eddy Thorpe. Trick Williams showed up after the match, so he wants the title back.

OTHER ACTION

Wes Lee bounced back from getting slapped by Trick Williams to beat Dion Lennox in a quick match with the Cardiac Kick.

Karmen Petrovic, bolstered by her love story with Ashante Thee Adonis, defeated Jaida Parker.

Nico Vance made a big splash as he and Brooks Jensen defeated D’Angelo Family members Luca Crusifino & Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo. Vance hit Stacks with a big lariat for the win.
