WWE NXT: Chase University Closes as Ridge Holland Earns Title Shot
Sometimes, the student faces the teacher. Sometimes the student surpasses the teacher or even becomes the teacher.
Last night, the student shut down the whole school.
Ridge Holland defeated Andre Chase last night in the main event of NXT. As a result, Chase University is closed.
Professor Chase put the university on the line after losing to Holland at Halloween Havoc in an ambulance match.
Holland was a student at Chase before breaking away and beating all of its male wrestlers. He will get a shot at NXT champion Trick Williams at Deadline on Dec. 7 in Minneapolis.
IRON SURVIVOR MATCHES
Nathan Frazier defeated Eddy Thorpe to qualify for the men’s Iron Survivor match. Because Frazier holds the NXT tag team title with Axiom, the other NXT teams brawled around ringside during the match.
Stephanie Vaquer beat Jaida Parker with the package backbreaker to qualify for the women’s Iron Survivor match.
Zaria also qualified for the women’s match, beating Wren Sinclair with the F5.
OTHER NXT ACTION
Tony D’Angelo pinned Brooks Jensen after a spinebuster. “The Don” was not defending the North American title, but he will next week against Shawn Spears.
Ashante Thee Adonis & Karmen Petrovic defeated Dion Lennox & Brinley Reece. This match was a cross-promotion for Saturday’s Oregon State vs. Washington State football game on The CW.
Fatal Influence came out, and Fallon Henley issued an open challenge for her women’s North American title. A bunch of wrestlers came out for a brawl. Tatum Paxley was the last one standing, so she will get the title shot next week.
More Iron Survivor qualifiers will also take place next week, with Ethan Page taking on Axiom and Giulia facing Kelani Jordan.
