Win One for The U: Andre Chase Must Become NXT Champion or Lose Chase University
Andre Chase has been running the wrestling-themed “Chase University” within WWE NXT for years.
It’s time for the professor to graduate to NXT champion or shut down the school for good.
On last night’s show, NXT champion Trick Williams called out Ridge Holland, but Chase appeared instead and said he wanted to fight Holland.
In the last several weeks, the British brawler has broken away from Chase U, attacked its members, and antagonized Trick as well.
Next week, Holland will face Chase for a shot at Trick’s title at Deadline. If Chase loses, the school will shut its doors.
(Well, you know … the doors of whatever room they are using in the arena …)
IRON SURVIVORS
Deadline will also feature the men’s and women’s Iron Survivor matches. Competitors try to score as many victories as possible before the time limit expires.
Sol Ruca became the first qualifier for Iron Survivor, as she hit the Sol Snatcher on Cora Jade for the upset victory.
On the men’s side, Wes Lee used an exposed turnbuckle to defeat Cedric Alexander and become the first qualifier for the men’s Iron Survivor match.
Je’Von Evans also qualified for Iron Survivor with a victory over Lexis King.
OTHER NXT ACTION
Stephanie Vaquer & Giulia opened the show with a win over the Meta-Four duo of Lash Legend & Jakara Jackson. Don’t be surprised to see Vaquer and Giulia in the Iron Survivor match.
Nikkita Lyons defeated Adriana Rizzo in a grudge match. Rizzo attacked Lyons after the match with a crowbar, so the grudge has not been settled.
In the main event, Fallon Henley retained the women’s North American title by defeating former champion Kelani Jordan. The other members of Fatal Influence helped Henley, as usual.
