Who’s Coming to AEW’s Private Party? Everybody!
Private Party had a very public party on Saturday’s Collision in Philadelphia to celebrate their recent AEW tag team title win.
Everyone seems to be welcome to challenge for their belts as well.
Zay & Quen would have had to break up if they had lost on Wednesday’s Dynamite, but they brought home the gold by defeating The Young Bucks.
Private Party will defend the championship at the Full Gear pay-per-view on Nov. 23. They will compete in a four-way match against the winners of these bouts:
· Top Flight vs. The Outrunners on the Nov. 9 Collision
· FTR vs. House of Black on the Nov. 12 Dynamite
· The Acclaimed vs. La Faccion Ingobernable on the Nov. 16 Collision
DEAD WOMAN’S PARTY
Thunder Rosa defeated Harley Cameron in a Day of the Dead hardcore match. Cameron used a pinata, but Rosa stuffed her into a trash can and won after dropkicking the can.
Kyle Fletcher pinned Komander after a top-rope brainbuster. Fletcher went for a post-match beatdown, but his Aussie Open partner Mark Davis stopped him.
Lance Archer and Brian Cage crushed Joe Keys & Shaun Smith. Kris Statlander issued a challenge to Mercedes Mone for the TBS title at Full Gear.
JON MOXLEY TOWN HALL
If you think a “Jon Moxley town hall” will end up in a brawl, you’re right. Orange Cassidy is billed from “wherever,” but he’s really from Philly. So is one of Moxley’s henchmen, Wheeler Yuta.
Action Andretti said “Hey, I’m from Philly, too,” and issued a challenge, but PAC answered it and won with the Brutalizer submission.
Orange Cassidy appeared and talked about his past friendship with Yuta. Moxley sent Yuta after Cassidy, who greeted his old friend with an Orange Punch.
FIRST TO THREE WINS
Roderick Strong defeated Shane Taylor to score the first win in a friendly competition with Adam Cole. Strong and Cole have each scored one win apiece, and the first to three will face MJF at Full Gear.
Lio Rush beat Ariya Daivari (of The Premiere Athletes) with a frog splash. Shouldn’t a team of Premiere Athletes win a match every once in a while?
Mariah May retained the AEW women’s title in the main event by defeating Anna Jay.
May has been waiting to celebrate her championship with her friend, Mina Shirakawa. Last night, AEW announced that Mina is coming.
