What We Learned From The Houston Texans Injury Report
The already very injured Houston Texans are set to take on the New York Jets in Thursday night football.
A short week is not exactly what the doctor orders for Houston but they have a prime chance to get to 7-2 in the first of their three consecutive primetime games.
Wednesday afternoon, the Texans released their injury report so let’s break down what we learned from it.
A half-positive comes from the linebacker position as Henry To’oTo’o will play on Thursday after missing the last two games while going through concussion protocol.
To’oTo’o has become one of the leaders on the Texans’ defense registering 46 tackles including a sack and a pass breakup this season.
On the negative side, Houston will be without linebacker Azeez Al-Shaai for the third straight game as he continues to deal with a knee injury.
Elsewhere on defense, rookies Caden Bullock and Kamari Lassiter will both play despite being on the injury report with shoulder issues.
Both played last week as the Texans’ defense gets closer to being 100% and continues its strong play.
Offensively there are once again interesting developments on the struggling offensive line for the Texans.
Jarrett Patterson will not play after replacing Kenyon Green during the first half of Houston’s win over the Colts.
Patterson will be out with a concussion meaning that Green will have to start on Halloween night.
At the running back position, backup Dameon Pierce will not play after not practicing all week due to a groin injury.
