The Von Erichs were the subject of the extremely sad “Iron Claw” movie last year, but they had a happy moment last night.

Ross and Marshall Von Erich (sons of Kevin) teamed up with Dustin Rhodes to win the Ring Of Honor six-man tag team championship in front of their adoring Texas fans at AEW Battle of the Belts XI.

The Rhodes and Von Erich families teamed up this weekend for the first time since 1978, when Dusty Rhodes was one of the top stars in wrestling.

This weekend, Dustin & The Von Erichs defeated The Dark Order at the ROH Death Defore Dishonor pay-per-view to earn a shot at the vacant ROH belts.

The Texas heroes cashed in on that opportunity by defeating The Undisputed Kingdom (Matt Taven, Mike Bennett & Roderick Strong).

After the match, Dustin Rhodes talked about how he hasn’t finished the story and become World champion like his younger brother, WWE champion Cody Rhodes.

“After all the titles I’ve won, I can honestly say that this one feels the best,” Dustin said.

Also at Battle of the Belts, AEW women’s champion Toni Storm beat Taya Valkyrie; and CMLL women’s champion Willow Nightingale defeated Deonna Purrazzo.

DON’T FORGET COLLISION

The Texas fans also enjoyed a two-hour Collision show before Battle of the Belts. Orange Cassidy opened the show with a win over Johnny TV, who used to be known as John Morrison in WWE.

Wheeler Yuta & Claudio Castagnoli won a three-way match against Top Flight and Brian Cage & Lee Moriarty.

High-flying newcomer Hologram improved his record to 2-0 with a win over The Beast Mortos. Hologram is quickly becoming a crowd favorite.

Kyle O’Reilly, Mark Briscoe & Tomohiro Ishii (part of the Conglomeration with Orange Cassidy) defeated the Premiere Athletes.

Former WWE male models Mace & Mansoor continued this gimmick in AEW as MxM Collection. They lost to tag team specialists FTR.

In other bouts, PAC defeated Lio Rush by submission; Thunder Rosa beat Maya World by submission; and Lance Archer squashed an unnamed foe.
