Tiger Woods Had An ALL-TIME Entrance At The TGL

It’s the eye of the TIGER, it’s the thrill of the fight. Risin’ up to the challenge of our rival!” The song that was made famous by the Rocky movies was in FULL SWING last night for the TGL, when the Los Angeles Golf Club took on the Jupiter Links in a HIGHLY ANTICIPATED showdown.

The TGL, for those of you who haven’t heard of it yet, is a brand new indoor golf league that is played via a simulator and an technologically advanced green. In this league, teams of players face off against each other on brand new holes via the simulator, which lead to a real-life green that automatically changes based on the terrain.

It is a MONUMENTAL SHIFT in the game of golf, that has fans intrigued by it’s possibilities. The TGL is taking the old-school game that we all know and love, and FLIPPING IT on it’s head. It’s the same game that your granddad (and your great-granddad) swore by, but it’s getting the grandkid spin. If you catch my drift?

The best part about it though, is that they got the GREATEST GOLFER in the history of the game to be a part of it. They have the GOAT in that beautiful red getting the people hyped up with an entrance that puts the WWE to shame. To have Tiger Woods, at any age, come out of a tunnel to “Eye of the Tiger?” WITH SMOKE?!?! That’s one of those scenarios where you better pray for your walls, because I’m about to run through them.

It doesn’t matter how old this man is, or how long he has been golfing……the name ‘Tiger Woods’ holds weight. The name ‘Tiger Woods’ gets the people going, and that entrance just proves it. I mean HELL; if I was the dude near the end who had the honor of giving ‘El Tigre’ a low-five……I would’ve probably broken his hand, because of how jacked up I was.

Now, to be fair……Tiger’s ‘Jupiter Links’ didn’t have the greatest showing in this match-up against LA. Sure, it’s Week 2 of something that is BRAND NEW to these golfers. So to hold this against the Links would be a bit of a kick of the nuts, if you ask me. BUT I do have to say, regardless of the outcome……I think I’m a fan. I think this entrance alone, before even watching the play, has cemented me as a regular viewer of this program.

The TGL is going to be a blast to watch! But as always…..what do I know? I’m just a guy from the Midwest, with a beer and a laptop, trying to make sense of this world.
