Tiffany Stratton Wins WWE Women’s Title on Three-Hour Smackdown

Set your video recorder for three hours of Smackdown, and set your watch for Tiffy Time.

Tiffany Stratton cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase on last night’s show in Phoenix, and she is the new WWE women’s champion.

Nia Jax was defending the belt against Naomi, when Stratton bashed Naomi with the briefcase and helped Nia retain the title.

But then Stratton lowered the boom on Nia with the briefcase and cashed it in. Seconds later, Stratton hit the Prettiest Moonsault Ever and won the championship.

BLOODLINE BATTLE

Paul Heyman came out to talk about Monday’s match between Roman Reigns and Solo Sikoa for the Tribal Chief title.

Solo said he would acknowledge Roman if he loses, but if he wins, Heyman must become Solo’s “Wiseman.”

Solo pinned Jey Uso with the Samoan Spike in the six-man Bloodline main event. Solo teamed with Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga to beat The Usos & Sami Zayn.

WATCH YOUR BACK

WWE champion Cody Rhodes came to the ring to start the first three-hour Smackdown. Drew McIntyre interrupted and … gave him a hug.

Back in 2010, Rhodes and McIntyre won the WWE tag team title. Drew told Cody to watch his back.

The champ should have listened, because Kevin Owens attacked him from behind.

Michin defeated Piper Niven to stay in contention for Chelsea Green’s women’s U.S. title.

#DIY defended the WWE tag team title against Motor City Machine Guns, but Pretty Deadly and Los Garza caused a no-contest.

Shinsuke Nakamura beat Andrade in a non-title match, even though Andrade is a former U.S. champion. LA Knight attacked Nakamura after the bout. They will have a title match next week.
