The Cavaliers 2024/2025 Schedule was quietly released

Last week the 2024/2025 Cleveland Cavaliers schedule was released with little fanfare or attention. Cleveland sports fans are currently consumed with Cleveland Browns training camp and preseason news. Also, the Cleveland baseball team is currently in a pennant race and taking headlines. But the Cavaliers schedule was released, nonetheless. And the schedule does have interesting matchups for Cavs fans.

Cleveland Cavaliers fans will be able to watch their favorite team on national television for 16 games. 4 games will be on TNT, 4 games will be on ESPN, and 8 games will be on NBA TV.  One game on TNT will be against the defending world champion Boston Celtics on November 19th. That game will be in Boston. Another question Cavs fans may ask is will the Cavaliers will play in any holiday games?

The Cavaliers will not play on Christmas day. But they will host the Phoenix Suns on Martin Luther King Day January 20th, 2025, for a special holiday game. Also, the Cavs will travel to Los Angeles to play the Lakers on New Years Eve. Another holiday game will be on Veterans Day November 11th at the Chicago Bulls. A Thanksgiving Eve game hosting the Atlanta Hawks on November 27th is scheduled too for the Cavaliers. Other questions Cavs fans may ask is when and where does the season start?

The Cleveland Cavaliers open their 2024/2025 Season at Toronto to face the Raptors on Wednesday October 23rd. Their home opener will be on Friday October 25th against the Detroit Pistons.  They will finish the season at home on April 13th ,2025, against the Indiana Pacers. Last season the Cleveland Cavaliers won a playoff series for the first time since 1993 without Lebron James. With the recent coaching changes and extensions of key players, Cavs fans are expecting another playoff season. How far this team will go into the playoffs will be determined by the team’s health and effectiveness of the new coach. Let’s see what happens.
