Serena Williams

We obviously couldn’t have started this list without mentioning Serena Williams. She was the reigning major title record holder for the Open Era, which earned her the title of being the Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T) in tennis.

She has around 40 major titles to her name. Serena also won more than 20 Grand Slam singles titles and 14 Grand Slam doubles with her sister, Venus Williams. She won two mixed doubles, which made her the major title record-holder in the Open Era. All 23 majors were spread out over a memorable 18 years as she dominated the court!

Serena also had a cultural impact as she emerged as the best female tennis player in the predominately white tennis world. She can also be seen as a symbol of female power because Serena definitely proved her mettle in tennis. If you really want to see how amazing she was, you should definitely watch a couple of matches that Serena played.

Roger Federer

Among the G.O.A.T, there is also Roger Federer who became a pro tennis player back in 1998. He has an effortless style of playing tennis, and he makes it look so easy. He really surprised the world with his brilliance when he won 20 Grand Slam titles and showed the world what he was made of. He first won his Grand Slam in 2003 at Wimbledon and the rest is history.

He first won against Andy Roddick in the semi-finals and then went against Mark Philippoussis over a three-set game that he won to earn the title. Over all these years, Roger has won multiple Grand Slam titles at Wimbledon and has gone on to win eight titles at Wimbledon, creating a record.

Rafael Nadal

Nadal also deserves a spot on this list. Hailing from Spain, Rafael Nadal never failed to show the world his mettle, and he also went on to be counted among the Greatest Of All Time in the history of tennis. He is given the nickname “The King of Clay” and he has the most Grand Slams in men’s history by winning 22 titles. He won more than half of these titles because of his sheer dominance on clay and a tally of 14 at Roland Garros.

Nadal has been a pro tennis player for more than two decades, and over this entire period of time, he has gathered 92 titles to his name, which is super impressive! He is best known for his rivalry against none other than Roger Federer.

Novak Djokovic

Next up on this list is Novak Djokovic, who has also worked hard to become one of the greatest of all time. He is from Serbia, and he became a pro tennis player back in 2003. However, he took around five years to win a Grand Slam at the Australian Open. Currently, he has 24 Grand Slams, 7 ATP Finals crowns, and 40 ATP Masters 1000 crowns for himself, excluding the 90-odd tour title wins.

He also won the Australian Open 10 times and is the only men’s tennis player in the Open Era who achieved a double career Grand Slam by winning all 4 majors at least twice in his life. This makes Novak the best tennis player in the men’s category due to his immaculate wins and dominance over the tennis courts!

Ending Note

Tennis is definitely the kind of sport that you cannot miss watching because it is exhilarating enough to make it an experience of a lifetime. If you do end up streaming matches, make sure you remember all the players on this list so that you don’t miss out!
