Swerve Strickland Challenges Bobby Lashley for AEW Full Gear

The Hurt Syndicate spoke to a live crowd for the first time ever at last night’s AEW Dynamite show in Manchester, N.H.

MVP, Shelton Benjamin & Bobby Lashley were known as The Hurt Business in the WWE, but their entire run took place during the pandemic.

Last night, Swerve Strickland came out and challenged Lashley for the Full Gear pay-per-view on Nov. 23.

MOXLEY CREW

Orange Cassidy & Darby Allin defeated Claudio Castagnoli & Pac by disqualification when the rest of Jon Moxley’s team interfered. Since William Regal has been gone for a long time, the Blackpool Combat Club is now called The Death Riders.

The Conglomeration (Mark Briscoe, Kyle O’Reilly, Tomohiro Ishii, and Rocky Romero) saved their teammate, Orange, after the match.

Briscoe, O’Reilly, & Ishii stayed in the ring and defeated Chris Jericho, Big Bill & Bryan Keith in a Fight Without Honor. Ishii pinned Jericho, the Ring Of Honor champion, after a brainbuster.

(Fun fact: I announced the first Fight Without Honor in 2002 between Samoa Joe and Low-Ki.)

IS THIS THE END?

Adam Cole defeated Malakai Black after kicking out of Black’s “The End” kick. Black seemed to give up and allowed Cole to beat him.

Cole has two wins, and Roderick Strong has one as their try to reach three and face MJF at Full Gear. Cole clarified that it’s not a race, and they could both win three matches and face MJF in a Triple Threat match.

Christian welcomed Kip Sabian to The Patriarchy because Sabian stole his pen before he could sign a World title shot contract. Christian explained that Sabian knew Moxley’s teammates were waiting to interfere.

In addition, Christian revealed that he was behind the attack on Hook’s father, Taz.

Jamie Hayter defeated Penelope Ford with the Hayter-ade clothesline.

Ricochet’s mystery partner in the main event was Powerhouse Hobbs. They defeated Konosuke Takeshita & Kyle Fletcher. Ricochet should be in line for a shot at Takeshita’s International championship.
