Zach Frazier shines on a dim night for the Steelers offense

Week 2 of the NFL Preseason wasn’t the best night for the Pittsburgh Steelers offense. Whether you’re talking about failed conversions on 3rd and 4th downs, the offensive line not being able to protect the quarterback, or just the inability to move the football with any level of consistency.

It wasn’t pretty.

But that doesn’t mean everything was bad for the offense, and one of those bright spots was rookie center Zach Frazier.

With Nate Herbig injured, Frazier got his first professional start vs. the Buffalo Bills, and fans were excited to see what he could do against the Bills. Well, while the offense struggled vs. the Bills defense, Frazier was a bright spot on an otherwise dim evening in Pittsburgh.

Now, if you’ve followed this website long enough, you know I’m not an X’s and O’s guy, nor do I pretend to be. I’m the commentary guy, and I let those who have forgotten more about football to handle the film breakdowns around these parts.

That’s where Coach KT Smith comes in and delivers the goods. Coach dove into the tape on Frazier from Week 2 of the Preseason and put together a video which highlights what Frazier does well, and what he could still improve upon as he doesn’t just get accustomed to being the Steelers starting center, but handling NFL defensive linemen.
