Zach Frazier and other injured players return to Steelers extra practice
The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off their Week 9 bye, and that means they get an additional practice Monday. Before I go any further, remember this is not an official practice report, and the Steelers don’t have to put out an official injury report for this bonus work day. With all that said, the Steelers saw some injured players get back on the practice field and work their way back.
The first, and likely biggest, name to return to the practice field was center Zach Frazier. Frazier, as you can see below, was back working with the starting offensive line. It’s a good step in the right direction for Frazier, and barring a set back seems to be on his way back to the starting lineup Sunday in Washington.

The next player most are worried about is outside linebacker Nick Herbig. Herbig was at practice, but wasn’t as active as the aforementioned Frazier. Herbig said after practice he thinks he could play, but it will depend on how practice goes this week.

Of course, Cam Sutton returned to practice for the first time since being taken off the suspended list, and he looks to work his way into the defensive back rotation in certain sub packages.

Outside of these players, Cordarrelle Patterson returned to practice as well, and he should be healthy enough to return to the lineup vs. the Commanders in Week 10. All of this is based on these players not having any set backs, but also how the organization wants to handle them and not bring them back too soon.
Mike Tomlin will address the media Tuesday at 12pm EST, and he will give a more detailed look at the team’s injury situation as the team will have their first reported practice Wednesday ahead of Week 10. So be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for the Commanders this week.
