Who is the odds on favorite for the Steelers top pick in the 2024 NFL Draft?

In today’s sporting era, you can bet on anything. With only a handful of states who still haven’t legalized online sportsbooks, you an bet on just about anything. Of the list of things you can place wagers on, the 2024 NFL Draft is one of them.

How can you bet on a 3-day selection process? Simple, you can bet on who the top pick will be, how many trades will be made, and plenty more. When you look into team specific odds, you can find another group of odds for you to entertain.

When you look at the odds for the Pittsburgh Steelers first pick, at No. 20, the odds are, well, interesting. Take a look at the odds-on-favorite to be the Steelers top pick:

Pittsburgh Steelers NFL Draft Odds (No. 20)

  • Jackson Powers-Johnson, G/C, Oregon St. | +300 (25%)
  • Graham Barton, C, Duke | +350 (22.2%)
  • Brian Thomas, WR, LSU | +450 (18.2%)
  • J.C. Latham, T, Alabama | +500 (16.7%)
  • Adonai Mitchell, WR, Texas | +500 (16.7%)
  • Troy Fautanu, G/C, Washington | +750 (11.8%)
  • The Field | +1100 (8.3%)

If you are like me, you look at this list and you see something strange. Of course there are the interior offensive linemen, but only one wide receiver, and one offensive tackle.

Why is this strange? You would think a player like Amarius Mims would find his way onto the list, especially with so many media outlets mocking Mims to the Steelers if they stay put at No. 20. This sportsbook also doesn’t feel as if Zach Frazier, center out of WVU, would be a first round selection, at least not with the Steelers staying where they are slotted to pick.

However, if this might frustrate the bettor, if you feel strongly about some of the players who are not on the list, you can always bet the field, and get some pretty good odds in the process. So, not suggesting you would place a bet on who the Steelers will take in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft, where would you put your money if you were to lay down a bet?
