Who gets the game ball for the Steelers 32-13 win over the Raiders in Week 6?

The Pittsburgh Steelers got back to their winning ways with a 32-13 win over the Raiders in Las Vegas. Looking to keep from falling to .500, there were a number of Steelers players who stepped up and helped lead this team to victory.

But who gets the game ball?

Each win for the Steelers this season, I will set forth nominations to receive the SCN game ball. It does not necessarily have to be the best player on the field, but who really stepped up their game this particular week. After the case has been made, you all decide which player takes home the honor.

Previous Game Ball winners from the 2024 season include:

Week 1: Chris Boswell (92%)
Week 2: Cory Trice (28%)
Week 3: Justin Fields (69%)

I will remind everyone of the rules that it is individual players who will be in the running. Although it could be applicable, it will not be either position groups or coaches who are eligible for this designation as they are more in line for Jeff Hartman’s Winners and Losers article.

So here are the nominations in no particular order:

T.J. Watt

Even though he did not have a sack in this game, T.J. Watt took things over. Watt had five tackles, all solo, with two tackles for loss. But bigger than anything, T.J. Watt had two forced fumbles where he punched the ball out for his teammates to recover.

Najee Harris

It was Najee Harris’ best game of the 2024 season and the first time this season he went over 100 yards. What was even more impressive is that Harris put up 106 rushing yards on only 14 carries which equates to a 7.6 yards per rush average. Harris had a 36-yard touchdown run and had two receptions for 16 yards.

Patrick Queen

In what seems to be a continued improvement every week, Patrick Queen was all over the field for the Steelers defense on Sunday. Queen had more than twice as many tackles as any other Steelers defender as he finished with 13 total tackles with one being for loss.

Cam Heyward

The Steelers captain continues to put impressive performances on tape week after week. Heyward had the only sack for the Steelers on Sunday as well as having four tackles and two quarterback hits. Most importantly, he was one of many players who completely disrupted the Raiders run game.

Justin Fields

Although it was not his week getting things done with his arm, Justin Fields gives the Steelers a different dynamic with his legs. Rushing for 59 yards on 11 carries, which included two kneel downs to finish the game, Fields had two rushing touchdowns. Most importantly, the Steelers offense did not turn the ball over, although one potential interception was called back due to a penalty.

So what do you think? Who deserves the game ball for the Steelers this week? Make sure you vote in the poll as this is how the winner will be determined. As a bonus, you can even add another choice if you think someone other than these five should get the honor (and no cheating on the rules or it will be removed). And of course, feel free to leave your thoughts in the comments below.
