What improvements should be made to Acrisure Stadium?
The home of the Pittsburgh Steelers, formerly known as Heinz Field, has been active since the 2001 season. Now named Acrisure Stadium, there are many who feel the stadium is in serious need of an upgrade. But that’s easy to say, much more difficult to pinpoint just what needs improved to make the Steelers home field the best possible place to watch a game.
I recently took to Twitter/X to ask Steelers fans how they would like to improve the stadium/experience when they were there and I got some tremendous responses. Check it out for yourself below:
Okay #Steelers fans…
I need your help on a project.
If you were to make some upgrades to Acrisure Stadium, what would they be? Better WiFi? Seat upgrades?
Doesn’t matter if you’ve been there once, or are a season ticket holder. (And spare me anything related to the team…)

This is going to be a talking point on my Wednesday “Let’s Ride” podcast, but I wanted to also give those who are readers at SCN here a chance to chime in on the discussion as well.
What am I looking for? I’m looking for logical ways the Steelers/Acrisure Stadium can improve the experience for fans. While the smart-alecky response would be to suggest they improve their play on the field, I’m looking for concrete things which could be altered to make game days more enjoyable for fans.
Some suggestions which have already been suggested:
- Better options for those with food sensitivities
- Improve the jumbotrons
- Remove cup holders on backs of seats to provide more room
- Have more comfortable seats/remove bench seats in upper deck
What would you suggest the organization do to make changes for the fans? Better WiFi? More stats around the league scrolling on screens to track your fantasy team? Let us know in the comments below, and be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for training camp on July 24th.
