Top 10 Wide Receivers in Fantasy Football for 2024

We are just a couple short weeks away from the beginning of training camp, but until then, the primary focus for fans is in the lens of fantasy football. With this in mind, let’s take a closer look at the top players in fantasy football at each position and formulate a top 10 at each position.

As a reminder, make sure you check out the Draft Dynasty podcast, which is released every Wednesday on the FFSN NFL podcast feed wherever you listen to podcasts. Each week, Jeremy Betz and I tackle the biggest questions in the fantasy football or NFL Draft landscape.

Today, we continue our top-10 rankings with the wide receiver position. I am a running back truther in fantasy football, and I am not afraid to take them with three of my first four picks. However, receivers continue to increase in popularity in the early rounds, as workhorse running backs become more rare. I still prefer running backs outside of full-PPR formats, but receivers that produce consistently definitely provide value as well.

Here are my current top 10 wide receivers in half-PPR formats for fantasy football in 2024:

1. CeeDee Lamb
You can almost guarantee Lamb will not be the WR1 this year if you believe in recent history, as the WR1 in fantasy can never seem to hold that title two years in a row. However, he is still the safest option in fantasy, considering the insane amount of volume he is likely to receive in Dallas.

2. Tyreek Hill
Until Hill finally falls off a cliff, I am not going to predict it. He is going as strong as ever from a fantasy perspective, and nothing Miami has done this offseason puts him in danger of losing targets.

3. Ja’Marr Chase
Picked by many at this time last year to finish as the WR1 in 2023, Chase looks to make that prediction come true a year late, as he hopes to have Joe Burrow fully healthy this season. If Burrow remains healthy, Chase is always in the running to be the WR1 in fantasy.

4. Justin Jefferson
A new quarterback always poses a threat to a fantasy stalwart at wide receiver, but I think J.J. McCarthy is being put in a great position to succeed. Even if Jefferson has a slow start to the season due to growing pains with a new quarterback, wait it out, because the second half of the season is when Jefferson will have the opportunity to use a favorable schedule to his advantage and shine.

5. Amon-Ra St. Brown
St. Brown finished as the WR3 in fantasy last year, and Detroit did not add any key pieces to the passing game that would take targets away from him. The upside may not be as high with St. Brown, but you know what you are getting with him, and he is unlikely to be a complete bust.

6. A.J. Brown
Brown was previously known for having huge games and the occasional flop week, but last season, there were only three games in which he did not achieve double-digit fantasy points. Due to the improved consistency, I am much more comfortable taking him in fantasy than I was at this time last year.

7. Garrett Wilson
I bought into the hype last season and got burned, but in all honesty, Wilson played outstanding in 2023, given the rough hand he was dealt. If Aaron Rodgers is the quarterback all season, Wilson is potentially a top-5 receiver in fantasy, and if Rodgers gets hurt again, they have Tyrod Taylor, who still has enough juice to keep Wilson fantasy relevant.

8. Chris Olave
The biggest concern I have for Olave is whether or not he will have a competent WR2 to keep attention away from him. If one of Rashid Shaheed or A.T. Perry can be consistent secondary weapon, Olave has the chance to become one of the truly elite receivers in fantasy. The volume will definitely be there, and his quarterback play is unlikely to be any worse than it was last year. He is a low-risk, medium-upside pick.

9. Marvin Harrison, Jr.
This is where I believe we see a little drop off. I am a huge fan of Marvin Harrison, Jr., but for someone who has never played a down in the NFL, going in the mid-second round is a bit too rich for me. However, I think he is being taken in the right spot in terms of wide receivers. He is still a top-ten receiver for me, but if you have to spend a second-round pick to get him, draft a running back instead.

10. Cooper Kupp
I bet you didn’t expect this one! DJ Moore was tempting here, but I am completely baffled by how many people actually believe Puka Nacua will be the WR1 in this offense. Kupp is still the Rams WR1, and he will be schemed up as such. Nacua’s emergence certainly hurts the ceiling for Kupp, but I still believe he will outscore Nacua in fantasy if he can remain healthy.
