The Pittsburgh Steelers officially qualify for the 2023 postseason

After finishing up the 2023 regular season on Saturday with a 17–10 win over the Ravens in Baltimore, The Pittsburgh Steelers had no choice but to watch the scoreboard on Sunday to see if they could qualify for the playoffs. With one scenario to put the Steelers in with a 1 PM kickoff and another with the Sunday night game, the Steelers got the good news early as the Tennessee Titans defeat of the Jacksonville Jaguars have put the Steelers in the playoffs.

While the Steelers are in, their exact seed and opponent will not be determined until Sunday night. One thing that is for sure, barring a tie, is the Steelers will not be traveling to Miami to face the Dolphins. If the Dolphins are victorious over the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night, the Steelers will be the sixth seed and will travel to the Kansas City Chiefs. If the Bills are victorious over the Dolphins, that has the Steelers as the seventh seed where they would then travel to the AFC East champion Buffalo Bills.

Since their opponent is not known, neither is the game day or time. The NFL will be announcing the entire slate of playoff games on Wild Card Weekend sometime on Sunday night when all things are set. Potential kickoff times are at 4:30 PM or 8 PM on Saturday, 1 PM, 4:30 PM, or 8 PM Sunday, or 8 PM Monday.

Congratulations to the 2023 Pittsburgh Steelers for qualifying as a Wild Card team and extending their season by at least one more game. Make sure to stay tuned to Steel Curtain Network’s continued coverage of the Steelers as they prepare for the 2023 postseason.
