Steelers Wild Card game information now official

On Sunday afternoon, the Steelers punched their ticket to the 2023 NFL playoffs after, coupled with their win on Saturday, the Tennessee Titans defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars. Not having to wait for Sunday Night Football to know their playoff fate, the game was still of great importance because it determined the Steelers final seeding as well as their opponent next weekend. Now that the Bills and Dolphins game has gone final and all the pieces are now in place, the Steelers will be traveling to Buffalo to take on the Bills on Sunday at 1:00 PM which will be broadcast on CBS.

For the 2023, the Pittsburgh Steelers and Buffalo Bills did not face each other during the regular season. The last time the Steelers traveled to Buffalo was in Week 5 of the 2022 season where they suffered a 38–3 defeat. Prior to last season’s loss, the Steelers had won five of their last six trips to Buffalo dating all the way back to 2001 which included a Week 1 victory during the 2021 season.

With the Bills defeat of the Miami Dolphins, they finished the 2023 season with an 11–6 record and won their fourth-straight  AFC East championship. It is the Bills fifth-straight playoff appearance and sixth in the last seven seasons. During that time, the Bills had a 4–5 playoff record but were 4-1 at home.

With some early season struggles, the Bills were 6–6 entering their Week 13 bye. But since their week off, the Bills have gone 5–0 with wins over the Chiefs, Cowboys, and Dolphins.

Stay tuned to Steel Curtain Network’s continued coverage of the Pittsburgh Steelers as they prepare for their big postseason matchup Sunday in Buffalo.
