Steelers vs. Ravens Week 16 Picks: See who the SCN staff is predicting to win
IT’S GAME DAY!!
That means while we all wait for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens to kickoff at 4:30pm EST in Week 16 on Saturday, it’s time to take a look at who the SCN staff likes in this game. The current line for the game is PIT (+6.5) with a Total of 45.
But these picks are vs. the spread, or based on an over/under. These are straight up picks. So, let’s get to the prognostications…
Jeff Hartman
The Pittsburgh Steelers are traveling to M&T Bank Stadium to play the Baltimore Ravens, and many are thinking this game could get out of hand early. The line even has the Steelers getting 6.5 points. A Steelers vs. Ravens game with that large of a spread?! I think it will be close, and I think the Steelers are the ones who come out on top. This team is resilient, and I feel as if they will be able to handle their business on the road to claim their first AFC North title since 2020. Beat the Ravens, again, and let the good times roll…
Prediction: Steelers 26, Ravens 23
Dave Schofield
I’m doing something I don’t typically do and that is changing my prediction from The Preview podcast. This is the score I wanted to do, but it made it exactly a push in the over/under so I changed it. But for this article, I’m going back to my original prediction. Is this what I honestly think would happen if I was giving a non-Steelers fan prediction? Probably not. I would probably pick the Steelers to cover but not necessarily win. But I’m going full homer because I really want this win on Saturday. If I had to give an explanation as to how the game plays out for it to be this way, I can’t think of a very good one. But the Steelers have managed to find a way in Baltimore, so let’s see them do it again.
Prediction: Steelers 23, Ravens 22
Anthony Defeo
It doesn’t look like George Pickens is going to play. Therefore, the only way Pittsburgh wins is if the Ravens again go away from what they do best–scoring a bunch of points–and agree to another rock fight with their AFC North rival. I think this will happen…again.
Prediction: Steelers 17, Ravens 16
Big Bro Scho
This game is more about who is, or more importantly who isn’t, playing for the Steelers. The Steelers will be without George Pickens for a third straight game, but even more importantly than that is the chance of DeShon Elliot playing is very small. This will still be a knock down, drag out brawl, as most Steelers vs. Ravens games are. In the end, the exclusion of a couple of Steelers will make the difference.
Prediction: Ravens 20, Steelers 18
K.T. Smith
This is a tough spot for the Steelers without Pickens and Elliot. They’ve won 8 of 9 versus Baltimore but my suspicion is this one tilts towards the Ravens. Baltimore is likely to follow Philly’s blueprint on offense by using spread formations and horizontal routes to get the ball to their athletes in space. I’m not sure the Steelers have an answer for that.
Prediction: Ravens 24, Steelers 17
Corey Eckenroth
Lamar Jackson is going to be eager to prove that his struggles against the Steelers are just a myth.
The Steelers are going to be without George Pickens, so the aerial attack might prove difficult to sustain.
This is the best rivalry in the NFL for sure. But more important than that is that, quite literally, this is a heavyweight title fight, and the Challenger is eager to get his title back.
Steelers and Ravens in a slugfest where the Steelers again, get the better of Lamar Jackson in the end.
THIS is the game. Been saying it all year and it hasn’t happened yet. This one would be the most poetic yet, right in Justin Tucker’s building while Tucker is having a down year.
Boz for the win, and the AFC North title.
Prediction: Steelers 26, Ravens 24
Jason Murphy
The Ravens are rested coming off of a bye and then playing an easy game against the Giants. The Steelers are weary after hosting the Browns and traveling to Philly. Arthur Smith’s offense needs the dominant WR on the edge to work, and will struggle to adjust again without Pickens. Baltimore will be without their wideouts Agholor and Bateman, but they are much better at using the tight ends than Pittsburgh and will not be as affected by their absence. DeShon Elliott will miss this game as well, opening up the middle of the field. The Steelers will play hard and make it interesting in the end, but all the negative factors will be too much to overcome.
Prediction: Ravens 24, Steelers 19
Sadie Hubler
The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off of a tough loss in Philadelphia where they did not play their best football. This game is a big one in terms of playoff seeds, and it’s against the Ravens to top it all off. Mike Tomlin has had Baltimore’s number for years, and I expect that to continue. It will probably be fairly low scoring, but Pittsburgh pulls out a win in a close contest.
Prediction: Steelers 20, Ravens 17
