Final seven shots of camp coming up 👀
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Kenny Pickett finds Pat Freiermuth on an out route wide open. Busted it off a pick play. 1-0 offense.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Isaac Seumalo absent from team drills today
— Chris Adamski (@C_AdamskiTrib) August 17, 2023
Kenny Pickett throws across his body to Diontae Johnson for a touchdown.
Would’ve been a Cam Heyward sack, so much so he was patting Pickett on the back the entire time he was running 🤣.
1-1 to me.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Kenny Pickett looks for George Pickens on a fade but the ball is too far and out of bounds. 2-1 defense.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Joey Porter Jr. steps up against Allen Robinson and breaks up an out route for him. 3-1 defense.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Trubisky looks for Calvin Austin on a whip route but Austin can’t corral it. Elijah Riley in there. 4-1 defense.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023

— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023

— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Forgettable day for the offense in the final 7 shots from Latrobe. Pickett and first team go 0-for-4 even though he had two completions. First one would’ve been a false start on Okorafor, the next a sack by Cam Heyward and TJ Watt.
Lone score was Mitch Trubisky running it in.
— Brooke Pryor (@bepryor) August 17, 2023
Kenny Pickett hits Diontae Johnson on a post about 35 yards downfield for the completion.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Jaylen Warren on an outside zone run. Great block by Dylan Cook who is now running as the second team RT.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Cody White makes a catch down the sideline for 30 yards. Ball from Mitch Trubisky.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Miles Boykin back in. Looks like it was minor.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
A good way to sum up the intensity of today’s unpadded Steelers practice: Mason Rudolph just put a throw right on the chest of James Pierre, who dropped the interception.
Feels like a corporate Friday afternoon a little bit.
— Brian Batko (@BrianBatko) August 17, 2023
Said it yesterday — In terms of baseline athleticism Xazavian Valladay is a really good athlete.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Pressley Harvin booming some punts, man. Looks like the more consistent punter so far.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Kenny Pickett hits George Pickens on a wheel route down the sidelines for 30 yards.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Of all the NFL practices I have ever covered over my years in this business, the best thing (perhaps the only good thing) I can say about today’s is that it indeed is one of them
— Chris Adamski (@C_AdamskiTrib) August 17, 2023
Mark Robinson nabs the interception on a tunnel screen.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Cody White beats James Pierre deep. 35 yards from Mason Rudolph.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Slower practice today. Special teams focused but a lot of gameplan run stuff for Saturday.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Najee Harris wheel route out of the backfield and no one covered it. Would’ve been a 40+ yard rip.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Broderick Jones with the first team and Dan Moore shifted over to right tackle. Something we could see on Saturday?
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Breiden Fehoko bats the ball at the LOS and NT Jonathan Marshall gets the pick.
The best play of training camp because of the big man INT.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Steelers tinkering with more OL combos today than anything. No Spencer Anderson at center. Dylan Cook up with second team at RT and some LG. Jones and Moore together.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Trenton Thompson jumps for the interception from Mason Rudolph.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
Kwon Alexander nabs an interception now.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023

Rough day for Hakeem Butler. Two bad drops. He’s had some highs but they haven’t been consistent enough.
— Nick Farabaugh (@FarabaughFB) August 17, 2023
The entire Steelers defense comes over to say hello to the Plum Youth Football team, who was invited to camp by the Steelers after their teammate, 12-year-old Keegan Clontz, passed away when a house exploded over the weekend. pic.twitter.com/e499SGauoX
