The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off of a sloppy home loss to the Jaguars where two key players were knocked out of the game. But with their next matchup on Thursday, the Steelers have limited time to game plan and get players healthy enough to suit up.

In the first injury report this week courtesy of Steelers.com, it is a hypothetical list as the Steelers did not actually practice the day following a game. Regardless, there are six names that appear on the list, with five players estimated as being limited while one would have missed practice.

With Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin holding his weekly press conference on Monday, he already announced that safety Minkah Fitzpatrick would be out for Thursday’s game. For this reason, it’s not a surprise to see Fitzpatrick would not have practiced.

One player who Coach Tomlin said the Steelers were leaving the door open for is quarterback Kenny Pickett. With Coach Tomlin saying that Wednesday’s practice will be key in determining Pickett’s injury status for the game, it’s no surprise to see that he was listed as limited on Monday had the Steelers held practice.

Missing this past game due to a foot injury, cornerback Levi Wallace was estimated to be limited. Another player in the secondary who is projected as limited was Damontae Kazee with a hand injury.

Additionally, both players who are in their 21-day window to return from the Reserve/Injured List, Cam Heyward an Anthony McFarland, were both listed as limited as well.
