Steelers or Bills not expected to change their injury reports

When the news broke of the Steelers and Bills playoff game being postponed to Monday at 4:30pm EST, many fans had a similar question when the official news finally sunk in.

Can either team change their game status for players who are dealing with injury?

With the game being moved back a day, both teams could change their injury reports with the extra day, but according to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, neither team is expected to change anything before Monday.

The Steelers injury report won’t change based on the fact they have everyone available outside of T.J. Watt. Will the extra day equate in Watt’s knee being healthy enough to play? No. But the Bills’ injury report certainly could be adjusted with the extra day.

Take a look:

Buffalo Bills Participation/Injury Report, Wild Card Week

Game Status

No. 13 WR Gabe Davis (Knee) – Out
No. 25 LB Tyrel Dodson (Shoulder) – Questionable
No. 31 CB Rasul Douglas (Knee) – Questionable
No. 20 S Taylor Rapp (Calf) – Out

For the Steelers, not having to deal with Gabe Davis, even if he is having a sub-par season based on his standards, is welcome for the Steelers’ secondary. The same could be said about Taylor Rapp, and the extra day could get Tyrel Dodson and/or Rasul Douglas closer to being good-to-go. Likewise, the extra day should help players like Najee Harris, Minkah Fitzpatrick, and give someone like Damontae Kazee a chance to get ready for the playoff game.
