Steelers leave Week 8 win over Rams with a clean bill of health

The Pittsburgh Steelers were winners in Week 7 on the road, beating the Los Angeles Rams 24-17. Throughout the game there was a lot of bad, and some good sprinkled in. While the dust is still settling on the latest win for the black-and-gold, it is important to note any players who were banged up during the game.

After the contest Mike Tomlin addressed the media and said the team left the game relatively healthy. In fact, he only acknowledged one player who was injured during the game, and it was a player who was able to return to action.

That player was inside linebacker Cole Holcomb. Tomlin labeled Holcomb’s injury as an ankle, but also noted how he was able to come back in and finish the game. With adrenaline pulsing throughout his body, it will be key to see if Holcomb is slowed down this week leading up to Week 8.

Other than Holcomb, Tomlin said the only other injuries were those “bumps and bruises associated with play”. In other words, the team left the game relatively unscathed from an injury perspective. As always, things can change quickly, so be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 8 at Acrisure Stadium.
