Steelers Friday Night Six Pack: Persistence Pays Off
It’s another week in the NFL offseason, and one week closer to the 2024 NFL Draft. That means one thing, and one thing only — welcome to the start of free agency!
It also means it’s time for a Friday night six pack of questions for the black-and-gold faithful. So, you should know the rules by now, but if you don’t:
State your beverage of choice
What’s on the menu tonight?
What music are you listening to?
As for me, I am grilling some bone-in porkchops for the family, with some store bought kombucha. When it comes to music, I’m listening to some of my John Mayer records on vinyl.
Let’s get to the questions!
1. When you look at the depth the Steelers have on the offensive side of the ball, what non-offensive line position scares you the most (as it pertains to the depth on the roster)?
2. Let’s do the same question, but this for the defense?
3. The Steelers have been quiet this week with signing new players. What do you think will happen next?
- The team frees up cap space by re-doing someone like Cam Heyward’s contract
- Team trades for a player before the draft
- Sign a free agent, but nothing that would be considered earth-shattering
4. This was a question we had on the Steelers Preview podcast Thursday night. What position would you say is OFF THE TABLE for the Steelers in the 2024 NFL Draft?
5. How do you feel about trading draft capital? Do you think the Steelers should take more of an “F— them picks” approach some times to maximize their current team? Or do you feel they should always value draft picks and never mortgage the future for the present?
6. The title of this six pack is how persistence pays off. What is something that has happened in your life where your persistence absolutely paid off in a positive way?
For those who follow me on Twitter and know about my “Steelers Grilling Thoughts”, you know why I’m suggesting this as the final question this week…
Have a great weekend, and always be sure to check into SCN for the latest podcasts and articles on the Steelers!
