Steelers elevate Ben Skowronek to the active roster for Week 2

The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing to leave Pittsburgh for Denver to play the Broncos, and as is customary they made some roster moves prior to the 4:25pm EST kickoff.

Just like last week the Steelers are making a promotion from the Practice Squad to the active roster. And for the second week in a row it is wide receiver Ben Skowronek who is getting elevated for the game.

Last week Skowronek played and had valuable special teams snaps in the Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons.

The next question with Skowronek’s elevation is what it could possibly mean for rookie wide receiver Roman Wilson’s availability. This week Wilson was able to work to a full participant in practice, but the team might be taking it slow with his return to game action.

Nonetheless, how the Steelers choose to deploy their receiving corps in Denver will be interesting to watch. Check out Dave Schofield’s predicting the inactives article later today, and the official inactive list on game day.
