Steelers complete their 16-man practice squad by adding Quez Watkins

The Pittsburgh Steelers continue to shape their roster for the 2024 NFL season. After cutting down to their 53-man roster on Tuesday, the Steelers added eight players to their 2024 practice squad on Thursday. On Friday, the Steelers announced they officially added 7 more players.

RB Boston Scott
WR Brandon Johnson
WR Ben Skowronek
OL John Leglue
OL Doug Nester
LB Devin Harper
LB Adetokunbo Ogundeji

These players were added to the following 8 who were signed on Thursday:

DB Zyon Gilbert
DB Thomas Graham
CB Anthony Averett
OLB Marcus Haynes
DT Jacob Slade
FB Jack Colletto
RB Jonathan Ward
TE Rodney Williams

With 15 of the 16 spots filled, the Steelers announced Friday evening the lone, and final, addition to the practice squad. The name is a familiar one, Quez Watkins, who spent the entire preseason and training camp with the Steelers.

As most fans realize, an NFL team’s roster is an ever-changing thing. As much as there is a fluctuation on the 53-man roster, the practice squad usually sees as many changes, and often many more. Even these players signed with the Steelers may not make it on the practice squad to the Steelers Week 1 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons. For this reason, stay tuned to Steel Curtain Network for any updates on any roster moves and all Steelers news as they prepare for the kickoff of the 2024 season.
