Steelers Burning Question: How do you attack the Pittsburgh defense?

Last season I did the Friday Night Steelers Six Pack and wondered if it was worth doing further. After all, interaction was not great, and sometimes you just have to adjust. So I decided to call an audible, and not just abandon the Friday night meeting of the black-and-gold minds.

Instead of six questions, I wanted to focus solely on one question.

We’ll still do the preamble of what you’re eating/drinking/listening to, but we’ll focus our attention on the one Steelers question of the week. Don’t worry, most weeks I’ll do a bonus/extra credit question for fun. With all that out of the way, let’s get to the question!

This week I was invited to join an Indianapolis radio station to talk Steelers vs. Colts in Week 4. I was asked a difficult question which was tough to answer…

How do you attack this stellar Steelers defense?

That’s the question this week. If you were able to point-point a weakness within the Steelers defense, how would you go about doing it?

I asked Jeremy Betz this very question on the Friday “Let’s Ride” podcast and he brought up the Colts ability for explosive plays, which could be the Achilles heal of the Steelers defense.

I went in a different direction and suggested the offense spreading the defense out and getting the most inexperienced player, Beanie Bishop, on the field and try to exploit the Steelers’ sub packages.

But what say you? How would you attack the Steelers’ defense?

As for what I’m eating, I have no idea. I’m having burgers with three bean salad and sweet potatoes. As for drink, it’s store bought kombucha, and the tunes will be some vinyl, most likely some Chris Stapleton or Charlie Crockett.

Happy Friday everyone!!
