Last season I did the Friday Night Steelers Six Pack and wondered if it was worth doing further. After all, interaction was not great, and sometimes you just have to adjust. So I decided to call an audible, and not just abandon the Friday night meeting of the black-and-gold minds.

Instead of six questions, I wanted to focus solely on one question.

We’ll still do the preamble of what you’re eating/drinking/listening to, but we’ll focus our attention on the one Steelers question of the week. Don’t worry, most weeks I’ll do a bonus/extra credit question for fun. With all that out of the way, let’s get to the question!

The Steelers missed out in the Brandon Aiyuk sweepstakes, and many are suggesting this is the first mistake made by General Manager Omar Khan. To date, his record has been rather pristine with him “fleecing” other teams.

Is him not getting Aiyuk, after some feel he put all his eggs in that basket, a black eye on his rather stellar resume?

For me, I can’t suggest this is an issue with Khan. He isn’t the only one who makes decisions in the front office, so to put all the blame, and also to give him all the credit for past moves, is hasty. Nonetheless, the team not seemingly having a Plan B might seem troubling to some, and I get it. However, I am determined to take a wait-and-see approach to the season before jumping to any conclusions on what the offense may, or may not, look like.

As for what I’m eating, I’m grilling steaks and enjoying this beautiful weather. As for drink, it’s store bought kombucha, and the tunes will be some vinyl records I haven’t listened to in a while.
