Steelers and Myles Jack are reportedly talking about a reunion

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ issues and needs at inside linebacker are well-documented. Back-to-back season-ending injuries to Cole Holcomb and Kwon Alexander have many wondering if the team has any viable options at the position moving forward.

While Elandon Roberts and Mark Robinson remain on the roster, a new, and familiar, name is floating around as the Steelers look to add to the inside linebacker room. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Steelers and Myles Jack are both interested in a potential reunion.

Last season Jack and Devin Bush manned the inside linebacker positions for the Steelers, but a groin injury left Jack looking like a shell of himself. It also resulted in him being cut by the team when the offseason finally came.

Jack remained unsigned until the Philadelphia Eagles came calling. The two parties agreed to a contract, and Jack was back at work. But not for long. Jack eventually chose to retire from the game of football rather than play for the Eagles.

Most assumed a re-injury to his groin resulted in the change of heart, but whatever the reason Jack was recently waived by the Eagles Reserve/Retired List. As a free agent, this is when the Steelers came calling.

Will Jack and the Steelers agree on a new deal? Is Jack healthy enough to be a viable option for the team? Those are questions fans will have to wait and see if they pan out. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for the Cleveland Browns in Week 11.
