Steelers add 2 players to their practice squad

After clearing space on both their 53-man roster and practice squad over the last two days, the Pittsburgh Steelers announced they have added two players back to the practice squad in defensive lineman Breiden Fehoko and linebacker Tyler Murray.

The Steelers also announced they were opening the 21-day window for tight end Pat Freiermuth to return from the Reserve/Injured List, confirming the report earlier today.

Breiden Fehoko signed as a free agent with the Steelers during the 2023 offseason. Failing to make the 53-man roster initially, Fehoko was signed to the Steelers practice squad where he spent two weeks before being added to the Steelers 53-man roster. Inactive all but one game where he saw no snaps, Fehoko was released on Monday. After clearing waivers, Fehoko signed back with the Steelers practice squad.

The Steelers added another inside linebacker to the practice squad in Tyler Murray who was an undrafted free agent in 2023 by the Cincinnati Bengals. Murray spent some time this season on the Bengals practice squad.

Although the Steelers still have one remaining spot on the 53-man roster, they may leave the spot open for now until they have a better determination on how many players from the practice squad they might need for Week 11.
