Steelers activate Montravius Adams to the 53-man roster
The Pittsburgh Steelers are trying to put the finishing touches on their 53-man roster ahead of their game vs. the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 15. With three players already ruled out of the game, the team decided to juggle their roster starting with the activation of Montravius Adams to the 53-man roster.

The move to promote Adams had to the 53-man roster meant the team had to create a spot for him, and that spot was made by placing tackle Calvin Anderson to the Reserve/Injured List.
The activation of Adams, who had his 21-day window started two weeks ago coming off IR, makes sense with the team being without Larry Ogunjobi this week due to a groin injury.
For a reminder as to what Adams has done this season, and before, check out this information from the Steelers official website:
Adams was placed on the Reserve/Injured List on Oct. 22 with a knee injury. He appeared in seven games before his injury, recording eight tackles, five of them solo stops, and one sack.
For his career, Adams has played in 92 games with 24 starts. He has 117 career tackles, 57 of them solo stops, and two and a half sacks.
Adams was originally drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He spent four seasons with the Packers before signing with the New England Patriots in 2021. He also spent part of the 2021 season with the New Orleans Saints, before the Steelers claimed him off their practice squad.
