SCN’s Survivor Contest: Week 7 Results

Week 7 of the 2023 NFL season is in the books. With all games complete, Steel Curtain Network’s survivor league has now claimed a significant number of victims, almost cutting the number of those remaining in half.

With starting a new venture, there are not as many contestants this season as in year’s past who are in the running for the Donnie Shell football. With all of league one being filled with 100 contestants, league two capped out at 64 entries. Since I am entered in both leagues in order to have access, this means 163 contestants are vying for the signed Donnie Shell Hall of Fame football.

The most common choice in the contest this week was the Seattle Seahawks over the Arizona Cardinals. There were 14 contestants between the two leagues that picked this game with there being 7 in each league. The Cardinals took a 10-7 lead part way through the second quarter, but the Seahawks scored the final 13 points to secure the victory.

The next most popular pick was the San Francisco 49ers over the Minnesota vikings on Monday night with 6 selections. The Vikings jumped out to a 10-point lead in the first half and never trailed in the game, sending 5 contestants from League 1 and 1 contestant from league 2 packing.

When it came to the other most common incorrect choice, there were 4 contestants who chose the Buffalo Bills to defeat the New England Patriots and one each who selected the Tampa Bay Buccaneers over the Atlanta Falcons and the Las Vegas Raiders over the Chicago Bears. Additionally, three contestants failed to make their pick in time.

In League 1, there were 12 contestants eliminated with 9 going on in the contest. As for League 2, 3 contestants were eliminated with 9 moving through.

For those who are still in the contest, Week 8 is open and ready for you to make your next selection. Make sure you get in there and make your choice early as the selection can be changed up until 1 PM EST on Sunday.
