Week 6 of the 2024 NFL season is in the books. With all games complete, Steel Curtain Network’s survivor league has almost concluded.

One big question as things got going was how many contestants were entered. With all of league one being filled with 100 contestants, league two capped out at 51 entries. Since I am entered in both leagues in order to have access, this means 150 contestants are vying for the signed Mel Blount Steelers mini helmet.

With three contestants remaining, there were once again all different choices this week. Unfortunately things were pretty boring this week as all three contestants moved through in games that were decided by more than one score. In the one early game, Tampa jumped all over the Saints with 17-straight points only for New Orleans to answer with 20 of their own. After trading touchdowns, the Saints held a three-point halftime lead. But all the scoring in the second half belonged to Tampa Bay as they won 51-27.

The next game was a late afternoon game where the Steelers were picked over the Raiders. Although things looked dicey early on, the Steelers took the lead just before halftime and went on to win 32-13. The final game came on Sunday night with the Bengals taking care of the Giants. With neither team looking overly impressive, the Bengals were victorious 17-7 with New York missing multiple filed goals to keep things closer.
