SCN’s Survivor Contest: Week 3 Results

Week 3 of the 2023 NFL season is in the books. With all games complete, Steel Curtain Network’s survivor league has now claimed even more victims.

With starting a new venture, there are not as many contestants this season as in year’s past who are in the running for the Donnie Shell football. With all of league one being filled with 100 contestants, league two capped out at 64 entries. Since I am entered in both leagues in order to have access, this means 163 contestants are vying for the signed Donnie Shell Hall of Fame football.

The most common choice in the contest this week was the Kansas City Chiefs over the Chicago Bears. There were 19 contestants between the two leagues that picked this game with 11 picking the Chiefs in League 1 and 8 in League 2. This game was over some felt Patrick Mahomes should have left the game at halftime, especially since he was slightly hobbled.

The next most popular pick was a tie between the Dallas Cowboys to beat the Arizona Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks over the Carolina Panthers with 17 selections each. The Cardinals started fast and held their lead this week and sent 9 contestants from League 1 and 8 from League 2 packing with a 28-16 loss by the Cowboys. As for the Seahawks, they overcame a one-point halftime deficit to win by 10 points.

When it came to the next most common incorrect choice, there were 14 contestants who chose the Jacksonville Jaguars to defeat the Houston Texans. the other incorrect choice was the Baltimore Ravens over the Indianapolis Colts (5). Additionally, only two contestants failed to make their picks in time.

In League 1, there were 22 contestants eliminated with 31 going on in the contest. As for League 2, 16 contestants were eliminated with 24 moving through.

For those who are still in the contest, Week 4 is open and ready for you to make your next selection. Make sure you get in there and make your choice early as the selection can be changed up until 1 PM EST on Sunday.
