Russell Wilson signing one-year deal with Steelers
There is never a dull moment during a day in the offseason, and sometimes, even the nights are entertaining.
Late on Sunday night, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported the Steelers are signing former Seahawks and Broncos quarterback Russell Wilson. Per Schefter, it will be a low-cost signing following his release from Denver.
Nine-time Pro-Bowl QB and former Super-Bowl champ Russell Wilson plans to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers, per league sources. Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette has also reported this, stating that the deal will be for the veteran minimum.

Around the same time, Wilson shared this on his Twitter/X account, breaking the news:

The quarterback situation in Pittsburgh suddenly gets interesting, as Kenny Pickett will now have to earn the starting job by beating out Wilson, an experienced veteran who has won a Super Bowl and proven to be a stable starting quarterback. Wilson’s relationship with Sean Payton seemed to be a rough one, yet he managed to improve upon his lackluster 2022 performance, throwing for over 3,000 passing yards and recording a 26-8 touchdown-to-interception ratio this past season.
