Patrick Queen the latest Steelers player to get an invite to the Pro Bowl

There aren’t a lot of football fans who are looking forward to the NFL Pro Bowl Games this weekend, but for some players they do look forward to it. Not only do some see it as an extra pay check, but it is a feather in their proverbial cap to which they can put on their resume if/when they are looking for a new contract.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have several players who are attending the Pro Bowl games, and you can add another name to the list. That would be linebacker Patrick Queen, who is attending the games due to Roquan Smiuth backing out due to injury.

Queen will join a group of Steelers who were selected to the Pro Bowl Games that includes Chris Boswell, Minkah Fitzpatrick, Cameron Heyward and T.J. Watt, who were voted in as starters, as well as special teams ace Miles Killebrew, who was named as an injury replacement, Isaac Seumalo and Russell Wilson, who was added earlier Tuesday due to injury. Watt won’t participate because of an injury.

This per the Steelers official Twitter/X account:

Queen, who signed with the Steelers as an unrestricted free agent during the 2024 offseason, started all 17 games and the Wild Card game at inside linebacker.

Queen, who was selected to the Pro Bowl Games in 2023 while with the Baltimore Ravens, finished the 2024 season with a team-high 129 tackles, which are the fifth-most in a season by a Steelers defender since 1994. He added seven passes defensed, six tackles for a loss, two forced fumbles, one sack and one fumble recovery.. Queen was the only defender in the NFL in 2024 to record 125 or more tackles, six or more tackles for loss and seven or more passes defensed.
