Omar Khan’s media availability postponed due to death in family
If you are like me, you always enjoy when a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers organization is in front of a microphone. Whether it’s Mike Tomlin, Art Rooney II or General Manager (GM) Omar Khan, getting some fresh quotes regarding the team are always a content creator’s best friend.
I wrote an article over the weekend how the Steelers will break their proverbial silence this Tuesday when Khan would stand in front of media at the NFL Scouting Combine to answer questions about the upcoming 2024 NFL Draft, the Scouting Combine and upcoming free agency. However, that was delayed.
Khan was supposed to meet with media Tuesday at 10:30am, but that was changed to “To Be Determined” after a death in the family.
#Steelers GM Omar Khan's media availability at the NFL Combine is now TBD following a death in the family. Khan was originally scheduled to speak at 10:30 today.

It is unknown if Khan will make it back to Indianapolis in time to speak to the media, with all coaches and GM media sessions slated to end on Wednesday. Starting Thursday is when the players take the podium to answer questions from the media members in attendance.
If Khan is unable to make it back in time to speak with the media, the next time he will answer questions would likely be prior to the 2024 NFL Draft when he and Mike Tomlin answer questions before the 3-day process begins. Tomlin will be in front of media members at the league meetings in Florida when the media get access to the coach during their breakfast media availability.
Nonetheless, there are more important aspects to life than answering questions about football teams, but wanted to make fans aware if they were looking for information/quotes from Khan at the Scouting Combine.
Our condolences go out to Khan and his family for their loss, and we hope he and his family are able to heal from their loss.
