NFL continues their fining of Steelers following Week 8

The NFL has been fine-happy this season, and it seems that almost weekly there are players from the Pittsburgh Steelers who are getting a letter from the league stating their weekly game check won’t be nearly as much money as it should be.

Even though the Steelers are already looking onto Week 10 after beating the Tennessee Titans in Week 9 on Thursday Night Football, the league is still dishing out fines from Week 8.

According to Brooke Pryor of ESPN, Damontae Kazee was fined twice for unnecessary roughness, and T.J. Watt was fined for a hit on the quarterback. As Pryor points out, wide receiver Diontae Johnson, who was very outward towards how the officials handled the game, was not fined for his comments.

As for the Jaguars, defensive lineman Adam Gotsis was fined heavily for roughing the passer on Kenny Pickett. It was the hit which knocked Pickett out of the game, and was not flagged by the officials in the game.

It should be noted Keanu Neal was no fined for his hit on Trevor Lawrence, which was flagged for roughing the passer. Also, every week Jaylen Warren doesn’t get fined nearly $50k from the league office for just playing football should be means to celebrate.
