Minkah Fitzpatrick one of 7 Steelers who missed practice Wednesday
The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming out of their three-game home stand and are looking to stack even more victories. Heading on the road for an AFC North matchup, the Steelers are hoping to get some of their injured players back sooner or later.
In the first injury report this week courtesy of Steelers.com, there are eight names that appear on the list, with one player who was limited while seven missed practice.
Pittsburgh Steelers Participation/Injury Report, Week 11

One player who Steelers fans are keeping their eyes on is All-Pro safety Minkah Fitzpatrik. Missing all of their last game after leaving early in Week 8, Fitzpatrick did not practice on Wednesday. While this designation does not give a definitive answer for Fitzpatrick’s status for Sunday’s game, it is not a good start to the week.
The other player who missed Sunday’s game due to injury for the Steelers was defensive tackle Montravius Adams with an ankle. On Wednesday, Adams was still unable to participate.
Some good news the Steelers received early this week was opening the practice window for tight end Pat Freiermuth. Listed on the injury report now that his 21-day window has begun, Freiermuth was the only player who was listed as limited in practice on Wednesday.
One player who was unable to finish the game on Sunday due to injury was safety Keanu Neal who injured his ribs on his interception return. On Wednesday, Neal did not take the practice field.
Another injury that was reported by Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin following the game was Diontae Johnson who injured his thumb. To start the week, Johnson did not practice on Wednesday.
Missing most of practice last week but still being able to play in the game was Cam Heyward with his groin injury. So to see Heyward not practicing the first day of the week is not overly surprising.
There were two players on the Steelers who did not practice on Wednesday not due to injury but due to getting extra rest. These two players were cornerback Patrick Peterson and guard Isaac Seumalo.
As for the Browns injury report, it can be seen here courtesy of Steelers.com. Although their list is quite long, it does not include quarterback DeShaun Watson who the team already announced will miss the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.
