Knee-jerk Reactions are immediate responses to a situation without taking the time to analyze the situation. That’s something as sports fans that we typically do. Especially if you are a full blood Yinzer, or even just a part Yinzer. As is the custom, I compile my knee jerk thoughts and publish them immediately after each Steelers game. It’s my version of running my mouth first and apologizing later (or not apologizing at all). So with that being said, I’m going to employ that philosophy here during the 2024 NFL Draft.

• Big Bro is off the clock, Lil’ Bro is in tonight
• So will the Bills finally make a pick?
• The Bills do pick and, as expected, it’s a wide receiver
• Only took two picks until there was a trade- Chargers up, Patriots move back three spots.
• And the third pick is traded as well!
• WR and DT have been ruling the first few picks. Is center a possibility at 51?
• Crazy trades! The Steelers are 10 picks away unless they get involved.
• Now bring on the run at cornerback. Geesh.
• Only two picks away! Don’t screw us over Bungals.
• Steelers on the clock!  Frazier is there!
• Down goes Frazier! The Steelers get their center!
• So pumped about this. Build those trenches!
• I’m so happy about this draft, I don’t care who the Steelers take next. It’s not that I don’t care about the position, but the exact player isn’t big for me right now.
• And the third round has begun. Will the Steelers make both their picks where they are scheduled?
• Why is the third round seeming to take longer than the second?
• So far CB Nate Wiggins is the only AFC North pick that isn’t in the trenches.
• Seems like CB isn’t the best choice with the next pick based on who is left. Is it WR or is something else there they want?
• Steelers are on the clock…
• It’s wide receiver Roman Wilson from Michigan.
• It seemed like the Steelers liked him for a while. Paid a lot of attention to him at the Senior Bowl.
• I’m good with this. It checks a box. And Coach K.T. Smith loves it so it has to be good.
• Not much time until pick 98.
• Will they pick another Wilson?
• They will! It’s Payton Wilson, the linebacker from North Carolina State!
• I would have been happy with this selection at the last pick, so this is great!
• Yes, there is an injury history there, but getting a player that flies around like this at the end of Round 3 is worth it.
• Great Day 2 of the draft! Bring on Day 3.
