Friday Night Steelers Six Pack: When you don’t have control of your own fate

The Pittsburgh Steelers are preparing for the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18, and even with a win they need help. We all know the scenarios, but it’s a lousy feeling as it pertains to not controlling your own fate. Nonetheless, it’s Friday and it’s my week to provide the questions for the weekly Q&A.

With that out of the way, let’s get to it.

1. Assuming the Steelers win, do they get the help needed to make the playoffs?

2. If you said you do believe they get the help necessary, how will that help come? The Titans beating the Jaguars, the Dolphins beating the Bills? Or both??

3. The weather for Saturday’s game in Baltimore is supposed to be dicey. They are calling for some freezing rain and sleet to start and by kickoff it should be all snow. While Baltimore isn’t going to get what SCN headquarters is supposed to get, do you feel this weather favors one team of the other? If so, who should this help more?

4. Of the following players, who do you think will return next season (it can be more than one)?

Mason Rudolph
Myles Jack
Allen Robinson
Levi Wallace
Patrick Peterson

5. I’ve been asked this question A LOT since Matt Canada was fired, and I haven’t really looked into it during the season. So, I’ll ask you, the reader. Who would you like to be the next OC? Any coaches you like that might be on the open market or willing to move to a new location?

6. Since this is basically a playoff game, it reminds me when we used to have playoff parties as a kid. We would alternate between our house and my Dad’s co-worker’s house. The alcohol was flowing for the adults, and the food was always memorable. What is your go-to dish for going to a football gathering like I just described? And don’t say you’ll “bring your appetite”…

Okay folks, let’s enjoy this last game of the regular season and hope we get at least one more next week!! In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the team as they prepare for the Ravens on Saturday.
