Friday Night Steelers Six Pack: ‘Twas the Night Before Indy Edition
Okay Steelers fans, time for another weekly meeting of the black-and-gold minds! You know the drill by now. State your beverage of choice, what you’re eating, and any music you might be enjoying right now!
As for me, as I’ve said many times before, I have to drive my youngest son to therapy almost an hour away every Friday afternoon/evening so dinner will be picking up pizza afterwards. As for what I am listening to, it’s SCN podcasts with the occasional Christmas music (Arthur Fiedler & The Boston Pops) sprinkled in yet again.
Okay, let’s get to the questions!!
1. The Steelers haven’t lost to the Colts since 2008 and haven’t lost in Indy since 2005 (Mr. Taylor, meet Mr. Harrison to start the game on Monday night). Do you buy into the idea that some teams just “have the number” of other teams? Or is it all more dependent on each team each year and each matchup?
2. On Saturday, will the Steelers have more pass attempts or rushing attempts against the Colts?
3. Many Steelers fans have hit a low point after the last two “historic” losses. Can you think of the time you have felt the lowest as a Steelers fan?
4. It’s the matchup of Mitch Trubisky vs. Gardner Minshew as the quarterbacks on Saturday? Who throws the most TDs? The most INTs?
5. Several years ago I proposed a new divisional alignment in the NFL where I had the Steelers and Colts in the same division. If you were to swap out one AFC North team for another one, who is out and who is the new team? Or would you move the Steelers into a different division (which one in place of which team)?
6. I love sweets, and I love the Christmas season. What is your favorite “sweet” item you mainly get to enjoy this time of year?
Okay, time to get to the comments and voice your opinion! As always, stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for the Cardinals.
