FILM ROOM: How the Steelers offense shredded the Bengals secondary

The Pittsburgh Steelers and Cincinnati Bengals squared off in Week 13 in Ohio, and it was the pure definition of a shootout. Both teams moved with ease up and down the field, and at times felt as if the team with the ball last would be the one who claimed victory. In this instance, it was the Steelers passing attack which was the difference in the 44-38 victory for the Steelers on the road.

The final score dictates the nature of the game, and the suddenly prolific Steelers offense, but how the Steelers tallied 37 offensive points is worth a closer look.

I’m no X’s and O’s guy, so I leave that to those who know way more than I ever will. In fact, when it comes to our own Coach KT Smith, he’s forgotten more about football than I’ll likely ever know. Thankfully for you, the reader, Coach did a tremendous breakdown of the Steelers aerial attack in Cincinnati Sunday, and what made it so effective.

Check out the breakdown below of how Russell Wilson and the Steelers passing attack was able to not just exploit, but manipulate the Bengals defense to the point where they were able to do what they wanted in the passing game.

Be on the lookout for more film room breakdowns like this in the future with Coach Smith as he looks to help Steelers fans understand more about the game of football they all love. In the meantime, be sure to stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare for the Cleveland Browns in Week 14.
