Brian “Baldy” Baldinger breaks down the Steelers vs. Bills game

The Pittsburgh Steelers fell flat in their second preseason game, a 9-3 loss to the Buffalo Bills at Acrisure Stadium, but that doesn’t mean the entire game was a negative. There were positives to glean from the showing, most notably the defense, but also some interesting aspects of the offense as well.

Of course, there were negatives, but when it comes to analyzing the game there aren’t many who do it better than Brian “Baldy” Baldinger of the NFL Network. “Baldy’s Breakdowns” have become a staple on Twitter/X after every game as he dives into the tape to see what went right, and what went wrong, in a particular contest.

For this Week 2 Preseason game, there was plenty on both side of the docket for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Below you can check out what Baldy has to say about things like the Steelers running game, their defensive performance, as well as how the Bills manhandled the Steelers on more than one occasion.

Let’s dive into the film…

As for the Bills dominance over the home team, Baldinger talks about that, and then some, in the clips below:

There will be Steelers fans who watch some of these clips and feel as if they are watching a train wreck, but it is important to realize the preseason can be a huge teaching moment for many players. The tape the Steelers put out there was ugly, but also will provide plenty of learning opportunities for the team as they prepare for the final dress rehearsal this Saturday in Detroit.

The next logical question is whether or not the team is able to take this tape and turn it into something positive, or if another poor performance is on deck vs. the Lions at 1pm EST Saturday.

Stay tuned to SCN for the latest news and notes surrounding the Steelers as they prepare or the final game of the NFL Preseason.
