The Bye Week provided the Pittsburgh Steelers time to get healthy, and also add reinforcements for the stretch run of games. The additions of WR Mike Williams and EDGE Preston Smith make a potent team even stronger. Will it be enough to get the Steelers over the hump by not only getting TO the Playoffs, but making a deep run?

I don’t want to get too far ahead of myself, to be honest. I am having difficulty dialing in this Pittsburgh team in any one week.

Maybe I should listen to Pez’s Picks when he says that “Parlay’s are for suckers.”

Maybe I won’t listen and I’ll keep playing my $2 lottery ticket, and being happy with my $25-50 jackpots.

Look, I’m a simple man, and it doesn’t take much to keep me happy… except the next Lombardi.

Review

Corey – I went with the Promo from DraftKings, and it was not the day I was expecting to see. Jalen Hurts got his sneak, but Allen did not. Jefferson was close a couple times to getting one, but didn’t. Josh Jacobs and the Green Bay offense could not get anything going against the Detroit Lion defense.

  • ANYTIME TD SCORER: Jalen Hurts (+100) – HIT
  • ANYTIME TD SCORER: Josh Allen (-105) – MISS
  • ANYTIME TD SCORER: Justin Jefferson (-115) – MISS
  • ANYTIME TD SCORER: Josh Jacobs (-105) – MISS

Total Parlay Odds: +1325 (+Bonus 25%) = +1657 Total Odds

Winning Bet of $10 = $175.70

Jeff – Last week my parlay missed for the Steelers MNF game. I feel like as the season progresses I’m getting better at picking my spots, but this week is a different beast. With no Steelers game last week I accepted the challenge of an AFC North play.

Here was my parlay from last week:

2 Pick Parlays

  • LA Chargers (-1) + UNDER 42.5 (+250) HIT
  • Broncos (+9) + UNDER 46 (+244) MISS
  • Bengals (-7) + OVER 45 (+232) HIT

Another parlay ruined, this one by the Baltimore Ravens. I had a good feeling the Ravens would win in Week 9, but I also saw the Denver defense actually showing up at M&T Bank Stadium for the game. Oh well, that was a crap shoot parlay which was a lot closer to hitting than I thought when I put in the play.

Dave – As a reminder, I went a different route during the bye week with three futures bets rather than picking something that wasn’t the Steelers.

  • T.J. Watt DPOY (+100) TBD
  • PIT win division (+180) TBD
  • PIT over 10.5 wins (+135) TBD

Only time will tell if any or all of these hit.

This Week’s Picks

Corey – Time to get locked into Steeler Mode for the rest of the season. Let’s do this! I’m gonna follow my prediction in the Staff Picks article coming out Sunday morning. No excuses, just a Steelers win.

  • Steelers Points SPREAD: +3 (-118)
  • Steelers OVER Total Points: 45 (-110)
  • Anytime TD Scorer: George Pickens (+200)

Total Parlay Odds: +675

Winning Bet of $10 = $77.50

Jeff – This week’s parlay…which I went more conservative with, feels like a bunch of safe plays. That’s fine with me, sometimes you just need to get a winner to get you off the losing streak.

3 Leg Parlay

  • Steelers +3 (-118)
  • Najee Harris 70+ rushing yards (+105)
  • Russell Wilson 225+ passing yards (+108)

Total Parlay Odds: +500

Winning Bet of $10 = $60

Dave – Because Jeff does his parlay before his show that runs on Friday, we don’t often have the same odds when I do mine late Friday or Saturday morning (like today). This time I got the better odds on the one we had the same.

I’m sorry I’m using some similar bets to Jeff and/or Corey, but my job is to pick winners. For that reason, I form my bet before looking (or listening) to theirs, even if it means I have to temporarily skip that part of Let’s Ride for a day. Getting to my bets, I love taking the Steelers on the moneyline when they are slight underdogs (3 points or less) because of the odds it gives. Do I really want to go from +120 to -118 just for the scenario of Washington winning by 1 or 2 points? Not me. And while I would hope this would be a “run the friggin’ ball” type of game, I’m going out on a limb with the Wilson-Pickens connection again.

  • PIT on the moneyline (+120)
  • George Pickens Receiving Yards: 70+ (+115)
  • Russell Wilson Passing Yards: 225+ (+125)

    Total Odds: +625

    Winning Bet of $10 = $72.50
