AFC Playoff Picture: Week 11 can drastically alter AFC rankings

The 2023 NFL regular season is officially in the back half, and that means it’s time to start taking a look at the playoff pictures for both the AFC and NFC. This becoming a weekly exercise will mean eventually the total numbers of teams represented on this list will start to decrease as they are eliminated.

Week 11 in the NFL will be a big week for the AFC Playoff Picture with several of the Top 7 teams having games either against top tier opponents, but also against each other. Take a look at some key matchups this week which could shape the Playoff Picture next week:

  • Cincinnati Bengals at Baltimore Ravens (TNF)
  • Philadelphia Eagles at Kansas City Chiefs (MNF)
  • Pittsburgh Steelers at Cleveland Browns
  • New York Jets at Buffalo Bills
  • Las Vegas Raiders at Miami Dolphins

Look at the AFC North as the prime example heading in this week’s action. If the Bengals are able to go on the road on a short week and beat the Ravens, and the Steelers beat the Browns on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Steelers, at 7-3, would be atop the division and move into the Top 4 in the Playoff Picture.

It’s early, but once you start the second half of the season it is important to see what’s coming up and where teams stand in these rankings. Let’s take a look at the AFC Playoff Picture…
