AFC North Recap: Separation is evident after Week 11
Week 11 in the AFC North is officially in the books, and what a week it was. It pitted two division rivals head-to-head, injuries galore, and some separation in the standings when the dust settled. With that out of the way, it’s time for the weekly check-in for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, and Cleveland Browns.
But we have to take a look back, before we take a look ahead…
Baltimore Ravens – 34
Cincinnati Bengals – 20
This Thursday Night Football game pitted two division rivals in front of a nationally televised game. What did the audience see? A plethora of big-name players leave with injury. Joe Burrow was lost for the season with severed ligaments in his wrist, Mark Andrews is going to miss a lot of time with an ankle injury and Lamar Jackson left, but was able to return, at one point. The Ravens won, but the Bengals were the biggest losers with their season hanging in the balance without their Pro Bowl quarterback. Meanwhile, the Ravens get a much-needed boost in the standings.
Cleveland Browns – 13
Pittsburgh Steelers – 10
If you missed this game, you are one of the lucky ones. This game set offensive football back at least 75 years. Whether it was Dorian Thompson-Robinson orchestrating the Browns offense, or Kenny Pickett squandering opportunity after opportunity. Offense was not in high demand in Cleveland, and when the dust settled it was the Steelers on the wrong end of a one-score game for the first time in a long time. The Browns advance to 7-3, keeping pace with the Ravens, while the Steelers have another huge divisional game coming up in Ohio, again.
AFC North Standings
