4 players mentioned by Mike Tomlin following Thursday’s training camp practice

The Pittsburgh Steelers took to the practice field again at St. Vincent College for training camp on Thursday. Following practice, head coach Mike Tomlin addressed the media about their day on the field. Since he was asked about a few players, I am excited to continue the players mentioned article at Steel Curtain Network for the 2024 season! Remember these are supposed players where a specific question was asked during the Q&A period.

Roman Wilson

Coach Tomlin was asked about giving an update on the injury to wide receiver Roman Wilson.

“He’s got an ankle sprain. It could be characterized, it’s week-to-week at this juncture. We have him walking around in a boot as a precaution. I’ll give you more information as he gets closer to health.”

Markus Golden

Coach Tomlin was asked about bringing back linebacker Markus Golden who signed with the Steelers on Thursday.

“He is just a really solid veteran. He is low to no maintenance, he is a pro. Good, wise counsel, and was highly productive when called upon. I think he had four sacks for us on limited action and is solid against the run. He is just a pro.”

Patrick Queen & George Pickens

Coach Tomlin was asked about linebacker Patrick Queen being the player matched up on wide receiver George Pickens in the two minute drill at the end of practice where Pickens pulled in a touchdown reception.

“It happens from time to time. It’s football.”
